This will not work for substance 2022 or prior.

SB! - Assistance with normals and etc

SB also has gear specific resources that goes into more detail

Known issues:
Hair shader will not be able to show opacity correctly with subsurface scattering enabled to be viewed.

You can fix this by doing your Scattering first, then go into the shader settings (very top right, the ball with the gear in it icon) and disable SSS from being viewed (don't worry, this will keep what you did to the scattering map), scrolling down, and enabling Alpha Blending, then do your opacity. Or the other way around, I'm not your parent.

I will not help you learn substance from scratch, there are videos for that all over youtube.

SPT files go into: Documents\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Painter\assets\templates

You may have to create the templates folder.

SPEXP files go into: Documents\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Painter\assets\export-presets

If installed correctly, when you go to start a new substance project, you will see the new FFXIV __ Shader presets.
Make sure you use the correct one for what you are working on.

When exporting textures, in the dropdown of which to choose, you should also see the new FFXIV ones.

- You will not see things like the ID red and green maps, or highlights/skin color influence/lip color influence on the material view.
To see what you are doing with those maps, look at them individually.

- Diffuse is Base Color in these templates.
- SSS Thickness is Scattering for skin and hair.
- ID red is where your main colorset goes.
- ID green is where your colorset blending goes.

- If working with body instead of face with the skin shader, use lip color influence for the wetness mask.
- If working with the face tattoo/etc options on the hair shader, use Highlights for your tattoo color influence.

I do not have the Hrothgar specific template ready yet for the fur parallax,
however, just throw your body's fur parallax in the scattering map as a fill layer above your work if you have no intent to edit the parallax effect, and still have them export correctly.

you SHOULD be able to do minions and mounts, for the most part on the gear and monster shader. certain new ones use a flow map, that i have not added into the template for Gear and Monster yet though.

Expect Presets for every shader soon.
